MUAY THAI PERTH: Classes
Muay Thai Kick Boxing also known as Thai boxing is the national sport of Thailand. It combines all areas of stand up fighting such as, punching, kicking, elbows knees and clinching. Australia and the Muay Thai Perth based fighters have a great international reputation and Perth has produced many world champions and well renowned fighters, meaning the training and competition level locally is comparable to anywhere else in the world and is well respected in Thailand.
Our Muay Thai classes combine traditional Thai training with western methods. The first hour of the class is cardio and pad drills with the last half hour being optional for those who want to train more seriously. You can expect jogging, skipping, tyre work and pad drills, followed by conditioning and partner work.
Who is it suited for?
Muay Thai is suited for people wanting a well rounded martial art and extreme conditioning. It is also a must know for those wanting to train in MMA. Many women also enjoy Muay Thai due to the conditioning and emphasis on whole body workouts.
What to bring?
To you first class it is not necessary to buy any equipment, we suggest you wear something athletic like board shorts and sports shoes. Your welcome to bring your own gear or you can use the club gloves and pads, we also have a pro shop where you can buy or order personalized equipment.
